As the title says, its Friday so here are some remixes!
But wait! What's this?. It appears the people over at Best Week Evar like us. Hey, if you are still reading this? When are you going to post that video of Shaun dressed up like MIA drunkingly trying to hit on a pug in a sweater that I sent you?
Professor Murder - Free Stress Test (Harkin & Wolf Remix)
Its a catchy little "its Friday so lets get bouncy" track so I figured I'd start here. Professor Murder hails from NYC had has an interesting sound working for them. There are a lot more downloads they offer on their website and on their myspace. I actually don't know a whole lot about them myself, but will be reading up about them soon.
Young Love - Discotech (Ocelot Remix)
I'm a little late to game concerning Young Love (I'll admit it) having been turned on via Ocelot's Myspace a little while back. Ocelot hails from Texas and has some killer remixes and tracks up on their myspace. They're synthy and edgy and techy while still having the dance floor feel I really dig. I know I'm going to be keeping an eye on them. Check them out and I'm sure you'll enjoy. Also stop by their website.
BONUS: Weird Science's Remix from about 6 months back:
Young Love - Discotech (Weird Science Remix)
Weird Science being Steve Aoki and Blake Miller(both people worth checking out if you haven't already).
Amy Winehouse - Rehab (Hot Chip Mix)
To compliment Shaun's post from earlier. Hot Chip remix action. Its not ZOMG AMAZING, but its a cool little edit, none-the-less.
Let's see... what else should I post up here. hmm..
oh yeah!
Justin Timberlake - My Love (Is Like Woah! Re-edit)
Honestly, nothing tops the original.. but god damn this remix is dance floor-tastic. Chopping a slight bit of the vocal hook and layering a grungy distorted bass-synth under the beauty of the original hook, Like Woah! does an excellent rework for for the dancefloor. Their original productions are top notch as well. Check them out on the Like Woah! Myspace and say something nice to them, they deserve it.
Ok, 1 more, since you asked nice:
Klaxons - Golden Skans (SebastiAn version 1.2.0 Remix)
This is one of the most amazing remixes I've heard in a long time (and its apparently not even the final version of it!) SebastiAn mixing magical synths (reminiscent of My Love) with the vocal overlaying of The Klaxons. Stuttering synths and vocal reworking to love, SebastiAn really rocks it out here.
SebatiAn on MySpace
Klaxons on MySpace
That's it for me!

(PS let me know if you like these.. I have a feeling I want to start doing this every Friday for shits and wiggles)
